Job Summary:

We are looking for passionate and dedicated foot care nurses who can provide exceptional foot care service to our valued clients. If you believe you are the right fit, we would like to hear from you. We serve Edmonton and surrounding areas and provide care to residents in their homes and congregate living facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment, Management, Evaluation and early detection of foot and nail deformities, including DIABETIC feet. 
  • Provide exceptional foot care service with compassion, respect and dignity, which includes clipping and filing toenails, reduction/removal of corns, calluses, fissures, ingrown, thickened toenails and debridement of rotten toenails and management of diabetic foot.
  • Create a trusting and therapeutic relationship with our clients.
  • Educating and recommending clients and/or substitute decision makers on preventative foot care.
  • Working with seniors and clients with comorbidity and varied health conditions. 
  • Comply with infection prevention and control recommendations, including routine practices and additional precautions.
  • Adhere to all safety measures while providing care. 
  • Complete accurate documentation and report any irregular finding to the client. 
  • Strictly follow the policies and procedures to ensure client safety, privacy and confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, with good time management skills.
  • Respond appropriately to emergency situations

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Valid Licensed Practical Nurse license with Advanced Authorization for footcare practice
  • Valid First Aid Certificate
  • Recent vulnerable sector check required 
  • Knowledge of conditions affecting foot health, including diabetes
  • Must have own vehicle and class 5 driver’s license
